While I was in LA, I had my first experience with a mixologist. He used single giant cubes of ice in order to not dilute his drinks. We asked him where they got those ice cubes and he told us that they actually had to buy them from a single vendor in LA that makes them that way.
This should make him happy.
Clouds as plentiful as the swarm of new trailers off in the distance. Looks like construction ramps up today!
Work is halted due to a lake appearing in the middle of the construction grounds. You can see more flooring, including some extending outward into the beach, as well the beginnings of some other tents and buildings.
Underneath the white awning in the center are some giant letters: R, O & X are the only ones we can see from outside. Sounds like Roxy will get some prime space.

Seen above is the view from my apartment. That big empty square? That’s where Quiksilver Pro is happening September 1-15. They started construction last Friday, so I’ll be documenting it here!
